Job Seeker Tips – Interviewing

  1. Research the Company
  2. Practice interview questions beforehand – come prepared with stories and examples
  3. Select a business professional outfit
  4. Arrive early – make a good first impression with the receptionist or whoever greets you
  5. Turn off your cell phone
  6. Greet your interviewer with a firm handshake and a smile
  7. Convey throughout the interview why you are the best person for the job
  8. Demonstrate enthusiasm about the company and the position
  9. Mind your body language, eye contact, and tone of voice
  10. Prepare at least two questions for your interviewer regarding the position or the organization
  11. Leave with a smile and handshake; say thank you and express your continued interest
  12. Send an emailed or handwritten thank you note to interviewers(s) further expressing interest in the position
