Crystal Valley Purchases Agronomy Business of Pipeline Foods

Crystal Valley announced today that it has acquired the conventional agronomy inputs business of Pipeline Foods, LLC, located in Hope, MN. The Hope acquisition is a natural expansion for its business and will help leverage its services to an even wider range of customers.

“We are looking forward to this opportunity with Pipeline Foods and are confident in our ability to bring quality agronomy inputs and enhanced agronomic services to area growers,” said Jeff Hendricks, Vice President of Agronomy at Crystal Valley.

Pipeline Foods, the first U.S.-based supply chain solutions company focused exclusively on organic, non-GMO and regenerative food and feed is expanding its value-added processing capability throughout the U.S. and Canada. Pipeline took possession of the conventional agronomy business as part of its acquisition of the specialty and organic corn and soy division of SunOpta, Inc. in February 2019.

“Crystal Valley has been a good partner to make this deal happen,” said Neil Juhnke, SVP of Physical Operations at Pipeline Foods. “The conventional agronomy inputs business is a non-core asset for Pipeline Foods. I’m certain our agronomy customers will benefit from Crystal Valley’s scale and expertise in delivering retail agronomy services.”

Hendricks and Juhnke emphasized that both companies will be working diligently with customers to ensure a smooth transition for their mutual customers.
