We recently held the 93rd Annual Meeting of the Crystal Valley producer members on Monday, January 27, 2020, at 7:00 PM at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in downtown Mankato. A buffet dinner was served at 6:00 PM prior to the business meeting.
In addition to receiving the financial audit for Fiscal Year 2019 from Dennis Gardiner of Gardiner + Company CPAs, reports were given by Dan Jones, Chairman of the Board, and CEO Roger Kienholz. We also recognized Jackson area farmer, Mark Eggimann, for his 20 years of dedicated service on the Boards of Directors for FCA Co-op and Crystal Valley. Mark had served FCA Co-op as both Vice-Chairman and Chairman, and, following the merger, spent the last three years as Vice-Chairman for Crystal Valley.
The results of the director election held by mail ballot were announced as well. Re-elected to three-year terms were incumbents Dan Jones of Lake Crystal and Judd Hendrycks of North Mankato. Dan Riley of Round Lake was elected to a three-year term to fill the open seat vacated by the retirement of Mark Eggimann.
Immediately following the annual meeting, the board held its re-organizational meeting. The officers for the coming year are Tim Lewer of New Richland serving as Chairman, Dean Sonnabend of Vernon Center serving as Vice-Chairman, and Gene Meyer of Sioux Valley serving as Secretary.
